The New E-Invoices

Electronic invoices (e-invoices) have been the new standard for invoicing in domestic business transactions in Germany since January 1, 2025.

In future, invoices in the B2B sector must be issued, transmitted and received in a structured electronic format to enable electronic processing – thereby increasing efficiency.

M&C is also adapting to this standard accordingly – we are gradually switching our invoicing system to the XRechnung format (e-invoice). This means that in future, in addition to the usual PDF document, our customers will also receive an XRechnung (e-invoice) in XML format, which will then contain invoice data in a structured format. The XRechnung (e-invoice) can then be processed electronically and, if required, in an automated manner.

Please check whether your systems are already prepared for processing this format. If you require a different procedure, please let us know in writing and we will be happy to comply – thank you!
